Victoria Beckham is set to prove she is a powerful force in the fashion industry by opening her own clothing store. The British celebrity is marketing herself as a fashion player and is cementing her status with a store to stock her own designs. Victoria’s dVb range - which has recently released denim wear - will include handbag and sunglasses. The denim line, dVb, has arrived exclusively to Belfast fashion emporium Carter and, already, dozens of Posh wannabes are adding their names to an ever-growing waiting list.
Last year, Victoria’s Rock and Republic jeans sold out across the UK. This time, Carter was keen to keep a step ahead in the style stakes by signing an exclusive contract with Western Glove Works, the manufacturers of dVb.
Victoria Beckham said she is very much involved in the creation of her DVB line. She said she even travels to the factory in Winnipeg to supervise the production of her jeans. ” I’m a real consumer, and I think I know how real women want to look.”
A source told The People, “Victoria wants to ensure she is as much of a fashion icon in the States as in the UK and this seems the ideal way to do it. Melrose Avenue is the place to have a store if you are a designer, so if Victoria pulls it off it will do wonders to boost her status.”
“Victoria is also in talks to model the designs herself but may decide it would just be better to stick to the business side of things.”
DVB denim by Victoria Beckham washes include dark resin, stone ash, stone bleach, black, grey and white. A unique element to the collection is the stitching - from classic denim blue to elegant metallics and bright (but subtle) fluorescent tones. The stitching is carried through each style along the seams, bar tacks and watch pockets to the back pocket detail. The two back pocket designs, a star and the dVb signature, are strategically placed to flatter a woman’s curves.
” Victoria is one of the most prominent fashion enthusiasts of our day. She has a true instinct for what women desire in a denim collection and they are already flying off the shelves here at Carter.
“Our key pieces are selling out fast and, with the full collection on its way, we already have a long waiting list for it,” Sara Dowds, manager of Carter, said.

Just a month before David Beckham announced that he had signed with the Galaxy and was moving to Los Angeles, Victoria Beckham was threatening to sue LA based Rock & Republic for £50 million.
The former Spice Girl claimed she was owed the sum for “loss of earnings”, as her denim line – launched in 2004 - was far more profitable than expected but the fashion firm have only paid her £500,000 to date.
Whatever happened with that?
Good question. It seems that Beckham at this time is too embarrassed about her former partnership
with Michael Ball and Rock & Republic and is even taking Rock & Republic’s public humiliation rather
then being affiliated any further with Michael Ball. He is all over the news again as his criminal past is being revealed.
The real question is how much did Beckham know about Ball’s violent behavior and long history of braking the law.
It seems very strange how she is avoiding to comment on all of this. Something is up!
Crazy that Victoria Beckham is taking the public humiliations from Michael Ball. It seems she is so embarrassed of her former partnership with this criminal arrangements that she takes his insults, rather then responding and making him pay her for what he owes!!. Now that Michael Ball is going down and his illegal activities are investigated, I wonder how much Victoria Beckham knew of all this all along…or maybe apart of?? Shouldn’t Victoria know how to kick Balls by now?? HAHA
